Elaine Taylor Hardy This old barn brings back many happy memories. I could look out of my bedroom window and see it. Cows were on the left horses on the right. In the spring they use the right side of the barn to shear sheep. Coming out of the top of the bar was the cable with a big fork hooked to it. Yes what is the days before bail the hay. We would go into the field and our uncles would throw hey onto the wagon with their pitchforks. Dorothy and I with tromp the hay down. When we had a load of hay for horses would pull this up to the barn And stop just below this big fork. Grandpa and our uncles would load the fork with the hay and Dorothy and I would be on a Horse in back of the barn That was hooked up to cable that was pulling the fork full of hay into the barn. And I will call in the barn with E that was hooked up to cable that is pulling the fork full of hay into the barn. And I will call in the barn
